I’m opposed to infighting. But we should be accurate about (historical) fascism right now. Fascistic states have inconsistencies baked into their ideology and practice, with a hydra mix of wilful incompetence and clinical execution at their head. They’re no less deadly for it.

Not to be over-dramatic, but we have less than 24 hours until our crowdfund deadline, have to raise £1164 to continue our campaign for the NHS and complete our research about the financial links between MPs and the private health sector, and if this was a film the montage would kick in now. HELP!…

The UK is spending £369m refurbishing Buckingham Palace for King Charles, who has £22bn and gets £500m more a year.
He can pay for his own renovations, £369m is more than England spends on building Social Housing in an entire year for the whole country.

A Men’s Health headline reading “WTF Is a ‘Rat Boy Summer’ Anyway?” with the deck “Men who look like "hot rodents" are apparently the most eligible bachelors out there. Allow us to explain.”
A New York Times headline “The Rise of the Noodle Boys” with the deck “As an era of macho politics sets in, sinewy stars like Timothée Chalamet, Dominic Sessa and Mark Eydelshteyn embody a slinky alternative image of white masculinity in American pop culture.”

Sprinting can feel ‘easy’ comparative to endurance or resistance sports, but it’s a CNS and max output exhaustive exercise. Its benefits are rarely measured by fatigue and optimally fatigue only occurs in winter (sprint endurance) training or lactic acid inducing racing (>150m). Trust the process!
29.11.2024 21:31 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Weather and fatigue / injury permitting, you can always make the flys 15-20m, still 3-5 reps, build up max 30m from roll in. The purpose is to be super snappy and relaxed, to simulate the mid portion of the sprint. They shouldn’t leave you too fatigued! Real plyos and drive work will help with speed
29.11.2024 20:33 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Depends on a) how fast you’re going b) how this supplements your other training c) your desired conditioning from incorporating sprints. Flys should not feel hard! As a former sprinter, we would only do flys in summer, once a week, plus blocks and time trials (100m etc) and two weight sessions.
