Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)

Abrams isn't a man so much as he's an avatar of cultural entropy. If you make something popular enough eventually you will die or sell it off and and a person in thick rimmed glasses whose main artistic vision is that he loves to have meetings will take it and sandblast it until it's nothing. I hate to see this happen here but maybe it's good that this happened. Maybe every franchise should collapse into a version of itself that makes shareholders nod and shake each others' hands. We should learn to speak in a language that rich people who don't dream can't comprehend.

You have a pride flag in your bio. You obviously think marriage is a term with no actual content that can be applied to anything. No wonder we say you don’t understand marriage

The rainbow in my bio is a reminder that G-D will never again bring destruction to creation, that His covenants are eternal, that his word is unfailing, and that His gifts to my foremothers and forefathers are everlasting.

May Labour's Yvette Cooper, the former Home Secretary, be remembered always as the politician who imposed the ban at the behest of Britain's powerful weapons industry, so it could continue to profit from the deliberate massacre of the people of Gaza

The proscription order remains in place pending an appeal. Until further legal proceedings are complete, it remains a criminal offence to support or promote Palestine Action.

Stop Palantir taking over our public services!
Our public services aren’t for a secretive profit-hungry US tech firm. Sign the petition to tell the Government to scrap all contracts with secretive US tech firm Palantir.
Palantir, a US spy-tech firm, has been given access to millions of NHS patient records.
Its founder has said the NHS should be 'ripped up'.
Join me in calling on the government to end the dangerous Palantir contract.

Palestine Action have WON their judicial review in the High Court!
A massive victory for free speech, freedom of association and the right to protest.
A massive defeat for the draconian attempts by Keir Starmer's government to curtail our fundamental rights.

Once Sade’s women “have tasted power, once they know how to use their sexuality as an instrument of aggression, they use it to extract vengeance for the humiliations they were force to endure. A free woman in an unfree society will be a monster.”

UK folks: if we care about what is happening in the US with ICE, we must take steps to push back against anti-immigrant and refugee policy by our own government.
Fill out this consultation. It really doesn't take long. Amnesty have put together a super clear and helpful guide to follow.

A version of the Wes Streeting 'I never knew Peter Mandelson well' opinion column. Photo is of my cat. Text reads: Ignore the smears: I was never on the kitchen table,
and I am deeply
concerned about
the cultural moral
failing of going
on tables.
I was only in the kitchen in the 1st place to prevent other cats from jumping on the table. That sound you heard was me doing something else.
An additional 'linked' headline reads: Scientists study reappearance of mysterious cat-like wet footprints on surface of table, despite assurances that cat ‘knows it’s naughty’ to go on the table.

Investigation demanded into Keir Starmer's comms chief's lobbying links
Tim Allan's minority ownership of a lobbying firm has led to accusations of a perception of a conflict of interest.
Tim Allan may be getting less attention than Morgan McSweeney, but his links raised serious questions - and they’re part of the wider pattern of questionable appointments.
This isn’t really about individuals.
It’s about the state of the Labour Party.
