For a movie that does not need to exist, the new Running Man is a pretty fun watch.
Also, Michael Cera is surprisingly delightful.
Despite that, I’m enjoying the new version. Edgar Wright makes some clever choices and the supporting cast is pretty impressive. I even like Glen Powell as the all-new-all-different Ben Richards.
Sadly, no. They made it all serious and dramatic and cut most of the fun campiness.
Watching the Edgar Wright Running Man. It’s undeniably better crafted than the original, but theres just no shaking the lack of Schwarzenegger.
He may not be a great actor, but he’s the best Arnold Schwarzenegger, and few people are as singularly entertaining to watch as he was in the 1980s.
Just so we're all clear, this is a war crime and would be punishable by life or death under U.S. law.
Don't make me remember the good times. It just makes the modern times that much more painful to endure.
If you’re roughly my age, it’s wild to reflect on the optimism for the future Americans felt when Obama was elected — young Americans spontaneously took to the streets to celebrate! — and contrast with what we face today. The falloff over the past 18 years is hard to process.
My little dudes do the same thing. We've started giving them the meds two hours before scheduled appointments just to save the hassle.

It's a Jungle/Urban/Nuclear Strike spiritual sequel with a ton of modern QoL additions that make it way more entertaining to fly than the originals ever were. And catching missiles with the skyhook is the most fun I've had this year.
Oh cool! Now you can download the worst part of Microsoft’s handheld without shelling out $1000!
I love this thing!
It’s a bit overkill for the headphones I’m using (beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro X), but damn does it make Freddie Mercury sound good.
Sometimes, only a big-ass analog knob will suffice.
I recall it being similar, but more straightforward. They cranked up the “open world adventure” dial on the new one.
Haven’t played it enough to form a coherent opinion, but I’ll say this for Scott Pilgrim EX: It’s got a damned fine soundtrack. Top notch music to punch dudes by.
Part of me wants to focus and dedicate enough time and effort to become passably good at Counter-Strike 2.
That part of me forgets that I was born in 1983.
Today feels like a gyro kind of day.
The place that's always neck and neck in my mind with East Side Deli is the adorably-named Taste Tickler. Imagine a very generous traditional deli combined with Korean BBQ on the best rolls you've ever had.
Look, I ate an amazing hot dog just now, so I'm going to take a moment to pay respect to my local deli, East Side Deli.
It's hard to name a "best" sandwich spot in this city, but if the list doesn't include East Side Deli, it's a bullshit list. Highly recommended.
Plus I got them at $80 off, which helps.
While I know that Sony’s XM-6 series are the Jesus Christ and Bruce Lee of wireless headphones, I in no way regret going for the Bose QC Ultra 2. I’ll trade a bit of ANC tech for a comfy aural hug any day.
I currently require 7 USB C ports and 5 USB A ports for what’s on my desk. All the better if they can each deliver 5W of juice to each device.
But to answer your question, yes. Yes it is.
Coming soon.
I spent 35 years thinking that using literally anything as a mousepad is fine. Shirt? Sure! Oily rag? Yeah! Stray dog? Why not?
Today, I finally spent actual money on a proper Steelseries Qck Heavy mousepad and I discovered that I’ve been horribly, horribly wrong.
I just spent far too much on a mousepad. How’s your Thursday?
His grand plan is roommates?!
(The preceding post was sponsored by the spicy tuna rolls I’m about to eat.)
I’d really like to read a detailed history of mayonnaise in Japan. I appreciate it greatly, but have no earthly idea how the Japanese fell in love with it.
Here’s one more, much better photo, capturing the whole deck.
The deck is finally done!
