This man was a MONUMENTAL cultural figure for an all-too-short time. Moms loved him, dads loved him, kids loved him, EVERYONE.

Bernard King might have been an all time great, but injuries definitely limited his career. He's still a HOFer. This 2nd year Topps card is a an elite shot IMO. Love these old hoops cards.

For a brief moment in time, this guy was magic. Electric. Epic. Then it all fell apart. Too many injuries. A tragic death at a young age.

Alexander Williams, the person behind the first Black owned and operated ballpark, was in an unmarked grave for decades in Highwood Cemetery. No more. Thanks to the Josh Gibson Fndtn and donors, he now has a headstone.
