I enjoy painting warhammer and other minis and playing tabletop (mainly 40K and AoS), board and video games. In my spare time I teach kids chemistry.

Then gloss varnish, mordant earth crackle paint over the lava, satin varnish, vallejo lava texture paste and then a drybrush of a dark grey and a light grey. Hope this helps

I've watched a lot of YouTube videos recently and combined bits of each. From a black undercoat I painted the rocks grey then did rivulets of lava going from a dark red to bright red then bright orange then yellow. Each time getting progressively thinner. Also used some fluorescent inks to blend.

I haven't got a lot done recently but did do this tester base for my Helsmiths of Hashut spearhead force. Not 100% happy but think I can refine it on the actual models #warhammer #aos #ageofsigmar #warhammercommunity #nerdlings #paintingwarhammer

Thanks. Sounds good, new nurgle stuff looks sick (pun intended). I have a random project table so, when I complete something I can roll for the next project. Seems to be helping me push through and get those base rims painted!

He'll be alright, reckon it'll sort itself out in a couple of days. Might need to make sure his tetanus shots are up to date if he's going to insist on lugging that axe around though!

1st mini of the year completed! Haven't posted in a while but thought I'd start posting more regularly for some personal accountability as I start too many projects and get very few of them finished! Next up...Helsmiths #warhammer #aos #ageofsigmar #warhammercommunity #nerdlings #paintingwarhammer

Here's my squad of rangers (can you spot the dark eldar who has decided to follow the Path of the Outcast?). They were so sneaky I had to remind my opponent they were there in my game this week as he nearly ran right past them! #nerdlings #warhammercommunity #40k #eldar #aeldari

This guy's a bit frosty (probably because I haven't got round to painting him any mates yet!) #warhammer #paintingwarhammer #nerdlings #40k

Haven't had much time to paint lately as we've just moved house and everything is still in boxes, but here are some offerings for the blood god that I finished a while ago #nerdlings #warhammer #paintingwarhammer

Happy New Year, everyone! Hope you all have a great 2025 and achieve all your hobby goals! Here's a bust a painted as a present for my brother. My first attempt at painting something that isn't 28/32mm! Might try another one of these this year sometime. #miniaturepainting #nerdlings

Haven't had much time for hobby recently but did manage to get this test model finished. The rest of the squad are now on the painting table #40k #warhammer #warhammercommunity #bloodangels

After the amazing eldar reveals at the World Championships preview last night, I thought I'd get these guys out for a quick photo. May have to add to them in the new year! #warhammer #40k #paintingwarhammer #warhammercommunity

Thought I'd have a go at @jhminiatures.bsky.social 's excellent red tutorial starting with a green undercoat! Really happy with this WIP, not bad for a rainy Sunday afternoon. #warhammer #40k #paintingwarhammer #warhammercommunity

I painted this for a competition at my FLGS that never actually happened. Wasn't happy with the base but was really pleased with how the colour scheme turned out. #warhammer #aos #paintingwarhammer

Made the switch from "the other site", grass definitely seems greener here! Never really posted on there but I thought I'd have more of a go here as the community seems far more welcoming. Here's something I did post on twitter a few years ago, still quite pleased with it.
