Great film, but even better BBC TV series

My bad, misread it as the team, not the stadium. Trumpstein Island Arena it is, then.

Not sure the Washington Farts is particularly prepossessing, tbh

good way to stop introverts from shopping there too - I'm an ocean away but that would stop me ever setting foot there if I wasn't

Ah, you're one of those people who believe that what an organisation calls itself defines that thing, like when the Nazis styled themselves as "National Socialists". Hint, the (avowedly Marxist) DSA do not actually define what the concept of Democratic Socialism is any more then Hitler did.

Karoline Leavitt just turned 28 in August. This is a picture of a 28-year old. All that lying is really taking a toll, ain't it?

I always think of carpeting an area in dollar bills:
1 dollar covers a dollar bill
$1000 covers a small living room
$1m covers two football pitches
$1b covers a New York city block (or London Heathrow Airport)
$1t covers Hawaii (or half of Wales)

For as long as Fuentes can get MAGA to blame all his supporters' violence on "the Left", pretty well, for him at least.

So, 32% of the British voting population are certifiably insane. Good to know.

Have to admit I'm taking a break from F1 podcasts at the moment, but Missed Apex Moto GP (alongside Crash and The Race) are still priority listens.

Some rare good news from Wales, where the Labour seat in Caerphilly that most thought would fall to Reform in yesterday's byelection instead went to the resurgent (left of centre) Plaid Cymru, 47.4% to 36%, with both Labour and Tory votes collapsing to 11% and 2% respectively.

Isn't Iceland in Europe though? Nitpicky I know but we've had mozzies in Europe for a while now.

Ditto Labour in the UK, despite winning a huge majority last year they've spent their time trying to appease the far right, to whom they will nonetheless inevitably lose the next election. At least the Green Party is starting to make waves from the Left.

That's quite encouraging though, most pools over the last year have had their combined support around 50%, which suffers the Greens are starting to soak to ex-Labour voters who had initially knee-jerked to Reform
