Look guys, it's simple. Yes, Nick Saban compared the P4/G5 disparity to MLB/AAA disparity. Yes, media members are posting mockup G5-only playoffs daily. But obviously nobody REALLY thinks the G5 is like a minor league, despite calling them one and wanting to treat them as one. What are you, stupid?

The problem isn't Miami being ahead of Notre Dame; the problem is two teams doing the exact same thing during the span of the committee's rankings and being treated completely differently. There's no logic that would consider these teams miles apart in Week 10 and nearly identical in Week 15.

I keep thinking about this.

In this span, Miami and ND played two common opponents, and their other two opponents were virtually identical (SP+ #57/#112 for ND, #61/#106 for Miami). ND beat those teams by 13.3 points more, on average.

ND fell one and dropped out. Miami rose EIGHT and made the CFP.
