SEC teams just get treated different, man
Sean Feucht: Never imagined a theologian I once looked up to would became (sic) so unblievably WOKE while weaponizing scripture to justify the illegal invasion of a sovereign nation. He's QT'ing John Piper, who's quoting Leviticus 19:34: "You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt; I am the Lord your God."
Dale Partridge: "I love Dr. Piper, but this folly must stop. To correlate these instructions to Israel with the circumstances facing America is simply irresponsibile theology. Israel was never expected to allow such a number of foreigners that" blah blah blah
Jamie Bambrick: "Me lookfor where this verse says we need to lose billions in welfare fraud and let" blah blah blah
Brandon Lansdown: blah blah blah, who cares.
right wing pastors are screaming, crying, throwing up because John Piper posted a Bible verse on the everything app.

Washington's best result this week was a home win over 18-9 Oregon. Alabama's was a home loss to #10 Oklahoma.
Washington's worst result this week was a road loss to #15 Iowa. Alabama's was a road loss to 10-11 Texas A&M.
How did they drop the same number of spots in the AP Poll? One must wonder.

Alabama: 20-4 (6-4 SEC), +4.7 WAB, 4-3/4-1/20-0/10-0, just beat Ole Miss | 6 seed in ESPN's latest bracketology
hmm
does it bother anyone else that KSU (-2.4 WAB) is a bubble team but Green Bay (-1.3 WAB) and San Diego State (0.0 WAB), who both beat KSU head-to-head, are not bubble teams
26.01.2026 21:20 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The SEC setting the WBB AP Poll record for ranked teams this week (10) would probably be more impressive if it hadn't also set the CFB AP Poll record for ranked teams (11) back in September, before proceeding to slip on ten consecutive banana peels during bowl season

Last year saw probably the worst overall season (two losses, entered playoff #6) that led to a consensus national championship.
This year saw arguably the best championship season (undefeated, wins vs #3, #5, #5, #10, #11) in football history.
Ohio State and Indiana...*in that order*.

Through three halves, Indiana is outscoring their opponents in the CFP by an average of 42 points per game.
There has been one win by 40+ points in the history of the CFP.

08.01.2026 00:35 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Look guys, it's simple. Yes, Nick Saban compared the P4/G5 disparity to MLB/AAA disparity. Yes, media members are posting mockup G5-only playoffs daily. But obviously nobody REALLY thinks the G5 is like a minor league, despite calling them one and wanting to treat them as one. What are you, stupid?
19.12.2025 19:46 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The problem isn't Miami being ahead of Notre Dame; the problem is two teams doing the exact same thing during the span of the committee's rankings and being treated completely differently. There's no logic that would consider these teams miles apart in Week 10 and nearly identical in Week 15.

I keep thinking about this.
In this span, Miami and ND played two common opponents, and their other two opponents were virtually identical (SP+ #57/#112 for ND, #61/#106 for Miami). ND beat those teams by 13.3 points more, on average.
ND fell one and dropped out. Miami rose EIGHT and made the CFP.
