I actually played around with this idea about a decade ago, but never got around to pitching it to DC. Even wrote up some cover ideas. Here's one:

I'd take it one step further and come up with NEW crazy cover ideas in the Silver Age mold and challenge creators to match them with equally crazy stories.

If a book comes out with a character you love, and you don't like the book, don't pick up the next issue. It's that simple.

It's the eternal truth: one person's favorite is another person's abomination. And there's so much material in the Beatles catalogue that you can find infinite gradations of reaction!

I think "Revolution 9" is brilliant and "Long, Long, Long" is one of Harrison's most beautiful songs. I love "Bungalow Bill." I actually find value in all of these tracks. But I am truly hardcore where the Beatles are concerned.

You could argue that the entire template for the TOS main cast came from Gunsmoke: Kirk is Dillon, Spock is Chester, McCoy is Doc, and Rand is Kitty. They all transcended that, but I'll bet that (consciously or unconsciously) this was rattling around in Roddenberry's head.

If, like me, you idolize Keith the way HE idolized Kirby (which is to say A LOT), then this is a must listen, featuring my friends JMD and Brian AND a nice little shout out for DC's MISFITS OF MAGIC which I have to say was very much influenced by Keith's work on both Ambush Bug and Justice League.
