As many times as I have read this book, a scene like that is not coming back to me…but it IS the one where my dude has a boner on page one. And he’s just met her.

I met Cartel tonight, got to tell them about the half of a drumstick I have from their show back in 2009, heard Chroma played in its entirety, and collected a 2025 Cartel drumstick story (this time, one pegged me in the forehead!!! but I didn’t catch it). Successful evening indeed!!!

Also…I might have collected a lot of book boyfriends, but when it comes down to it…Sir Ross Cannon is my Book Husband. Madame Kleypas did her big one with him!!!

Nothing lifts me more than another audio reread of Lady Sophia’s Lover. Forever grateful that I bought my copy on Audible before the updated release/new narration.

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing? 2? Questions I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up. Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.

One of my favorite things about Angel (the series) is how unexpectedly funny it is at times. I remember thinking that the tone would be super serious because Angel was such a serious character (when he’s With Soul), so the humor that weaves throughout the series was SUCH a pleasant surprise!

As I was saying…

Skills was also just such a dynamic character, which I think we genuinely owe to Antwon’s portrayal of him. The ad-libbing of the dialogue, his comedic timing, the easy bond he had with everyone…one of my top favorite television characters for sure.

We also do not sing Skills’s praises enough for my liking because he was GENUINELY the best friend Lucas could’ve had. He supported the shit out of his endeavors but when Luke fucked up, he never hesitated to say whatever it was that Luke needed to hear. He called for him to be better.

Just like I can acknowledge that Lucas was absolute SHIT at following his heart, which meant he broke many in his search to be honest with himself. But it doesn’t negate the fact that he was an incredible friend, son, and brother.

What I’ve noticed in the OTH fandom is that there’s a blind devotion to Brooke, whom I also love and will say had one of the best character arcs of the entire series. She grows so much as a person. But also! High school Brooke was Not Always Good, and it’s okay to acknowledge that.

As for Peyton…my girl really had layers and LAYERS of trauma dumped on her and she managed to come out the other side a survivor ten times over. That’s my girl for real.

I’m just…I’m sorry. You’re never going to make me hate Lucas Eugene Scott. Did I want to punch him at the beginning of season 5? Sure. But that’s my baby ‘til the end and I’MMA STICK BESIDE HIM!!!

I just scrolled through the comments of some OTH unpopular opinions TikTok and the amount of times I saw people ragging on the two of them…ENOUGH. Let me go queue up season 4 real quick so I can calm my rage 😂

Question: y’all love a character who seems to get consistent hate in your fandom? Because I genuinely will be ready to fight anyone over Lucas Scott AND Peyton Sawyer.
