People get angry at sexism and racism and ableism, because the topics involved are often written by people who don't know crap about them. But KNOWING is possible. Knowledge is out there. Find resources, people to ask about their experience with that topic, and you're good to go.

If people only wrote of things that strictly involve them, we wouldn't have even half of literature.
Sure, you need to do research into topics that don't involve you, but once you do that and treat everything you do with respect, nobody can stop you.
