10 years ago today Satoru Iwata passed away and at the time, I didn't really know very much about exactly what he had done as president of Nintendo and so it didn't really hit as hard for me as it should have, which is something that I deeply regret :(

I hope he's continuing to rest peacefully 🙏

I started playing Terra Nil this weekend. It’s not quite the “anti-city-builder” I expected. I’m just building a city for deer and frogs instead of people. Still really enjoying it, though.

I didn’t play the original Final Fantasy until FF Origins on PS1, and didn’t play the 8-bit version until about a decade after that. It’s aged surprisingly well. More difficult and more DnD-esque than later games in the series, and the (for the time) heavy party customization give it a unique feel.

An all-time classic for sure. *That* scene with Celes and Cid (no spoilers) is gut wrenching, especially playing it for the first time.

Final Fantasy VI.

A game everyone should play at least once in their lifetime.
