On 9/29 I finished the final proof of my book and as if on cue, my water broke….

The stakes of the book I finished on the literal eve of her birth feel even higher now that she is here.

I’ve received multiple death threats + doxing (including my home address) directly following harassment from Turning Point USA, Jack Posobiec, Andy NGO, + Fox News which called me an antifa ‘financier.’

I have been forced to move my classes online.

“Terrorists inspired by Islamist ideology are responsible for 87 percent of those murdered in attacks on U.S. soil since 1975,” he writes. “Right-wingers are the second most common motivating ideology, accounting for 391 murders and 11 percent of the total. Left-wing terrorists murdered 65 people, or about 2 percent of the total.”

Because the 9/11 attacks “obscure other trends and are plausibly distinct,” Nowrasteh recalculated the data excluding the attacks. Doing so “reduces the number of murders to 620 from 3,599.”

The exclusion raises the right-wing share of murders in terrorist attacks “from 11 percent to 63 percent (391), the left-wing share from about 2 percent to 10 percent (65), and the unknown/other share to 1 percent.”

Terrorism since 2020, Nowrasteh wrote,

Right-wing terrorists account for over half of those murders (44), Islamists for 21 percent (27), left-wingers for 22 percent (18), and 1 percent had unknown or other motivations.

Nowrasteh did not include the deaths associated with the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol for the following reasons:

And the origins of today's far-right insurrectionism lie in the anti-abortion movement.

Early in the book it was really important for me to present reproductive justice as this international framework of demanding that all of us can parent or not parent in safe, healthy environments. It is fundamentally inseparable from the work of reproductive rights advocates in the United States when this is what our tax dollars are funding. It’s so simple that reproductive justice and bodily autonomy are impossible under genocide and under apartheid and starvation conditions that the United States has very much been facilitating.

"I really don’t believe that anyone who claims to care about our most basic rights here in the US can ignore this existential moral issue of our lives, which is the genocide that Israel is perpetrating in Palestine."

A New Era of Reproductive Coercion: A Conversation With Kylie Cheung The author’s new book explores how the Dobbs decision “created new avenues through which the state and abusive figures can collaboratively punish and control their victims.”

"The reality remains that under patriarchy and under rape culture and under abortion bans, all survivors and all abortion seekers are dehumanized and denied agency by their abuser or by the state," Kylie Cheung tells @amylittlefield.bsky.social in a new Q&A.
