This will continue to happen regardless of what the Senate does or doesn't do next.
Another aspect of this hearing I found striking: How routinely anti-trans rhetoric now bleeds into anti-abortion arguments.
Senator Hawley spent most of his time trying to get Dr. Verma to answer "yes" or "no" whether men can get pregnant.
Saying "yes" lets them claim Left is anti-science.
Hassan: "the murder rate, the assault rate on pregnant women by their partners to end a pregnancy has been a long-standing part of human history, so the blame it on mifepristone misses the point to say that women shouldn't be able to get this medication through the mail."
