I want to see the webcam shot of the Audi driver’s eyes when that Nissan flew by that fast in T1

Otherwise it’s down to more obscure ones like Brainerd, Summit Point, Ozarks, etc.

I’m to the point where my list of North American road tracks I still need to visit are down to mostly street circuits and ones in Mexico and Canada. I think Portland, Lime Rock and Road Atlanta are the last major ones and I’m scheduled for the latter two this year.

Kind of wild to think I’ll be returning to the place I first called a real world race (Road America) but that was only 3 years ago. Feels like I’ve visited more tracks than I could have dreamed in that short period.

Ok good. That would have been over officiating.

I hope there’s no penalty for the verstappen/hamilton investigation. I know I haven’t seen all the angles but at worst it looked like an aggressive dive. Not penalty worthy. Yeah I’m not a fan of moves like that being the norm but let them race.

Finally catching up on FE and glad they chose not to have burnouts on the grid for the finale. I always thought it was so silly watching them wait for the smoke to clear. Let’s hope they keep it that way.

(I spent way too long making this joke thread a reality after thinking of it in the paddock this weekend while talking to Atterbury about drivers with more money than ability and how they are injecting cash into the sport, lol)

You see, young talented driver, by creating a little destruction, pay drivers are, in fact, keeping racing going! In reality, pay drivers are what keep the cash flowing into this money pit we call racing.

...who will be able to feed their children tonight so those children can grow up big and strong and have little teeny weeny mechanics and track workers of their own and so on and so forth. Thus adding to the great chain of life!

Now, think of all the people who are employed because of them: mechanics, track workers, PR staff...

Notice how each one is useful. What a lovely ballet, so full of form and color. So full of life!

...Look at all these people suddenly with jobs to do. So busy all of a sudden!

But if a pay driver... CRASHES...

Look at this race. Here it is... peaceful... serene… BORING.

You see, talented young driver, racing, which you so nobly love, comes from helpless pay drivers.
