We appreciate you doing this to yourself
I did go into the 2nd area and got that up to level 5 for the plaster recipe. Now the world is my oyster
I am so excited to see how my landscaping grew in today ๐ฑ
I am not rushing through Pokopia, I am just letting my creative impulses drive progress. I love this and don't want it to end
Obv this was made by a 3rd party dev and I actually don't know anything about the development timeline. So I don't really know what I'm talking about.
Sandbox might just be the format of game that works on Pokemons timeline. This game is finished and polished and has depth and engaging mechanics (and I keep finding new ones?) and gets a lot of mileage out of simple assets. And it rolled out alongside promotions in other Pokemon games/merch. Scope!
Pokopia might just be what I want Pokemon to be from now on?
I think you'd have to trade between all the versions to complete the Johto dex that way. Alternatively you can play Pokemon Go and move them to Home from there
Sad that I have to work but happy for myself that I have one uninterrupted hour of Pokopia waiting for me at 10pm tonight
In general comments are becoming more rare because the automatic feeding of content doesn't require interaction to continue. Many people watch passively as a 2nd screen and are not "engaging" so to speak. I think it's all contributing to a disconnect between people who make and people who watch.
There is probably some discovery benefit in that more people are watching more stuff than they otherwise would but now when your stuff appears in front of them it's not their choice to watch it and they are less likely to be receptive.
The efforts apps have made to take choice out of content consumption is part of why there's more negativity. People are constantly being fed things they don't like and being bewildered by it instead of actively clicking on something and thinking "I might not like this let's see."

The problem with Pokopia is I can't play it 24/7
Happy International Women's Day โค๏ธ
Underrated little detail but I love that Pokemon actually interact with the stuff you get them. They play with the toys and use the seating and beds. Charmander builds different stuff out of the blocks I gave him.
Pokopia is like the perfect ADHD game. No matter what I get distracted by it is equally important as everything else I could be doing
Im just accepting that I will have to rebuild a lot of it later
I promise to also build nice houses for all the Pokemon
You probably unlock better building tools later but I spent 3 hours making a house tonight after stealing everything that wasn't nailed down from my first dream island.

I'm afraid I must resign from my content creation and day jobs. My sole purpose in life is to restore the habitats of Pokemon in Pokopia.
It wasn't my intention for it to take me two years to get this made but trying not to burn myself out by working two jobs at once all day every day has necessitated taking this very slow. I hope people are still excited even if it's now overdue
I have no ETA on this because I'm going to be volunteering for the next 3 months, so balancing a day job plus a part time job and volunteer work will not give me very much time to revise.
But a draft of the HGSS essay exists. It's 21 pages.
I still haven't finished my New Vegas playthrough, on DLC 3/4
I still haven't finished HGSS footage
I still haven't finished [REDACTED]
I still haven't started Expedition 33
I still haven't finished Stray Children
How am I going to start a lifestyle game now!!
I did because I had no other life
The thing I am most surprised by learning is that a lot of people never read the dialogue in rpgs until someone posts about it online. What do you MEAN you never talked to the NPCs in Pewter City?
