I’m missing out on a festival because I’m arriving late and I was a bit sad about it but then my friends sent me photos of funny merch they saw at the festival + pics of a cute cat they encountered and I was like waow. life is so beautiful actually. peace and love on planet earth etc.

it was nerve-wracking at first bc I kept thinking to myself “how the fuck did I end up getting drinks with a bunch of complete strangers,” but ultimately it was fine & fun & the boss paid for our drinks lmao. I ate Many fries

not long ago I attended a book launch for my job and somehow got invited to drinks with the author’s editor, who was also an agent & had also invited a bunch of other ppl for drinks, including a different author she repped, her boss, her assistant, & an acupuncturist who was just happy to be there

the publishing scene in (redacted city) is fun bc invariably you end up running into the same people over and over again and you’re just like oh! I know you!! and then many interesting things can happen lol

I pet many dogs at the festival, including one gigantic Great Dane named Tiny. she was v soft and lovely.

there was also a beautiful fluffy kitty named Coco who took one look at me and immediately turned her nose up at me DJFJJDKSKK. it was an honour

also ran into a cool person whom I met a few weeks ago at a publishing event because I pet their dog. sometimes networking is just going up to someone and being like “can I pet your dog” and them saying “hell yeah” lol

went to a local literary festival on Sunday for work and for fun, and I was surprised by how many people I knew whom I ran into there, one of them being an old creative writing teacher from middle/high school whom I haven’t seen in like nine years lol

anyway you can tell I’m hangry bc I just got off work and immediately started ranting on the internet about random things hgjfjskdk. going to eat an apple and log off
