Concept: Transfem George contending with the clash between embracing herself as a woman and her identity as a knight.

I've nailed down My Type re: favorite characters. I'm overall fond of characters with a secret soft side. Specifically, this tends to fall into one of four types:

-camp villain with tragic backstory
-defrosting ice queen
-bravado with a heart of gold
-platonic tsundere

I take commissions! For color I give the choice of several different media, I can do payment plans for anything over $50, and I also do $10 "grab bag" commissions where you at least get a sketch but may end up with ink or color for free :)

For the record, it was compelled honesty. Truth serum, in vino veritas, just plain getting cornered and having no way out but the truth - anything that forces or enables a character to admit something they'd normally hide or lie about is so interesting.

Concept: Part of Marie-Louise's crush on George is envy/living vicariously. When she realizes this, she thinks it's about romanticizing the adventure of knighthood, which isn't untrue. It doesn't occur to her for some time that what she wants is to be a pretty boy.

When I get insecure about my work, it's not even about my skill; I know I'm a good writer. What I struggle with is the fear that my *ideas* are intolerably weird, or that what I have to say is just *not worth saying*. It's a tough pattern to get out of.
