I think it is unfair though to blame Jake on the actions of others. If other people uses his review as a means to an end on their stance of politics, then that's their take. We may not agree with them, but it is unfair to point at Jake and exclaimed he caused this. Just my 2 cents.

While you are generalizing, I do agree that checking the comments on X, that there seems to have a massive negative sentiments and people can perceive this as additional oil to the fire. That's not something Jake has control. He said his piece, it is up to us of how we interpret it.

Agreed, while I haven't played any Assassin's Creed since III, I'm not the target audience of the game. I'm more of a JRPG, just recently finished Suikoden 1, now eager to play Xenoblade X. I don't want to judge AC Shadows until I play it, but I am eager to see Jake's experience of it.

I think Jake is being fair here, he said his experience, he tries his best to only speak about the game itself without the nuance of politics and controversy; which I think is great for a game reviewer. Leave the discussions on devs and the politics on a different thread and topic.

Not interested in seeing it. I'll wait until it's available on Disney+. If it's anything like Moana 2, I think I'd rather save some money than spend on something I most likely won't enjoyed. Moana 2 wasn't a good movie, I expect Snow White to be had as well.

Watched Moana 2 lately on Disney+, it wasn't a good experience. If Moana 1 was a 7.5, then Moana 2 was a 4.5. It felt like a long episode of a series than a movie. I don't recommend anyone to watch it.

The open ended and open mindedness of obscurity, for me, makes it beautiful because it's how you make it and give meaning, making it a bit personal. While don't go full on obscurity, a touch of it will surely not hurt it. Thanks for listening to a random guy on the net.

While of course, your intent and message is what matters to you. I think some obscurity might be beneficial in some extent. Currently reading Carl Sagan The Demon-Haunted World and while it's an older book, it feels like it is still very relatable in today's current events.

If you ever publish them into books, keep us posted. I'll definitely buy a copy. For me, the obscurity makes it applicable to many things. I think some of the messages here seems political, but to those that reads this at a later time might connect it with something different.
