this is true but i still wonder why people don't just use opus in the desktop app with the files mcp instead of having their entire terminal taken over by a more limited tui

tldr i don't get why it was claude code specifically that blew up and not the arguably more capable desktop app

isn't the point of a cli that you memorize the commands and flags until it's faster to type out a command at the same speed as you thinking of what options you want instead of clicking around and finding them. doesn't this kind of interface negate those benefits. this is a performative terminal app

that is not a cli that is a tui that functions exactly like a website would. "oooh look at me putting the command prompt in the ✨middle✨ using ✨dropdowns✨ instead of unc 🤢flags🤢" if i wanted graphics in my keyboard-controlled software i would use a regular gui and tab around everywhere
