The change over a decade is crazy. Whether Trump actually read, “Mein Kampf,” or not, he fully understood that scapegoating always works.
Leaders have often looked to Ancient Rome for role models, like Caesar or Marcus Aurelius.
Trump looks to Nero & Caligula.
CFP messed up big time. @notredame.bsky.social
One thing financial advisors often do is help keep the peace between partners in relationships. I'm stoked to receive Verbatim Financial's inaugural Peace Prize.
My friend Terry does the work to show how the Trump administration is attacking the fabric or our country, focusing on women, because they are often the pillars of the family & the community. Break them down & the patriarchy can fill the void.

Not the result we wanted from the tournament final, but the kids played a good weekend of games. #footballislife
A big problem we have as a country is that a significant swath of Americans treat history, science, and economics with the same kind of suspension of disbelief that they treat professional wrestling.
Gold. I’ve been asking where the protest music has been since 9/11. Who knew Trump II would be the one to bring it back.

This Mamdani thing is really messing with people’s minds.
Layla still having a tough go of it with the time change.
Huh?
And having lived & invested through the dotcom bust & the GFC, this is not as similar as people want to think it is.
In what sense?
I’d be more worried about people gambling on the gambling sites like fanduel
We got our first EV in 2013 and I still never get tired of plugging in to fill up at home.
It doesn’t seem like just not having to go to the gas station would be that big of a deal. I mean, we’ve all been going to the gas station for potentially decades, but once you don’t have to anymore…
This post really rang true for me, and it really jibes with how I felt personally when I thought about re-entering the workforce a decade ago.
It’s an interesting way to think about what so many people are dealing with. When I had my food business may of my employees were retirees.
No one ever nominated me for a 40 Under 40 list, or a 50 Under 50. Still time for 60 Under 60. The good news is that my odds are getting better.
And the primary voters will decide.
I know you know many of them worried about that very risk. They probably didn’t think the checks & balances would break down so fast under a Trump
Always cracks me up when I see this one reposted. No idea where people get it from.
“The,” does so much heavy lifting for lazy and ill intentioned politicians.
“The left,” “the right,” “the media,” “the rich.”
Group folks together anonymously & erroneously and it makes it much easier to demonize them.
Whenever you see, “the,” something, ask whether it’s really a thing at all.
We Christians, whether regular churchgoers or by birth and tradition, need to actively guard against and fight the idolatry that’s being promoted as Christianity by many political factions today.
We don’t hear more about school shootings because there’s no money to be made from it.
We continue to hear about Charlie Kirk because there’s money to be made from it.
Watching TV tonight I’m thinking of one thing that’s changed since I was a kid: we played TV shows at school. We argued who would, “be,” each character. Nowadays, not a thing.
