Americans are relearning the lesson we learned during the Gilded Age of the late 1890s, when robber barons ran the government and the economy for their own benefit: Oligarchy is incompatible with the common good.

I'm hopeful we'll respond with a new progressive movement.

I think we are learning that we cannot stop this short of hitting the streets. Permanent work stoppage. Our politicians certainly aren't going to do anything. And as much as we would like to think, another bloody civil war is not something most people want to do.

When young voters turn out, things will change. Until then they're going to cater to the voters that vote in every election. Almost 70% of people over 65 vote. Bring those numbers.

The ICE camps are concentration camps. They should be called concentration camps.

It is, of course, important to distinguish between concentration camps and death camps, but also, I am not sure we will know when or if we undergo the transition from concentration camps into death camps.

Until we're willing to do something other than complain on social media, this will keep happening. Now is the time for action.
