Biases aside (Krypto is eerily like my dog), James Gunn’s SUPERMAN is the most "punk" studio movie I've seen in a while. Especially after recently watching SLITHER and THE SUICIDE SQUAD, what a reliable treasure of the delightfully weird & heartfelt ❤️.

Thank you! We’re obsessed with it. And on the topic of bigger industry at large gigs, those are the ones that we actually had to learn to figure out things on the day. It’s been a wild ride to learn that our indies are not improvisational at all, but bigger shows often must be. (Not Daredevil tho)

Interesting fact: we actually tried doing an improvisational early version of The Endless in 2013. It was so bad we learned improv is not for us. All our indie films are scripted and heavily rehearsed, but we aim to make them feel extremely naturalistic, which often looks improvisational. THANK YOU!

One of my favorite movies. If you haven't seen this wonderful, eerie mindfuck, remedy that ASAP.

(And check out all the other Benson & Moorhead movies, too- they're also extremely compelling and ambitious.)

In North America it's currently on HULU, which we find very cool! Not sure but I imagine most places it came out it is now licensed for streaming somewhere... Could be HULU everywhere?

That's so cool to hear. If people knew how naturally and easily it came together... you'd be either be shocked or disappointed. Early in the process, we couldn't get anything made after SPRING, so we thought we were making some homemade wild swing experimental film that no one would ever see.

We LOVE Wake in Fright. Saw it for the first time while touring film fests with RESOLUTION, and it immediately became an inspiration to us.

#TheEndless is 8 years old. Our 3rd movie remains our most beloved, made by too many amazing artists to tag here, but been thinkin — wait for the 10 year mark for the next chapter?

Pretty sure at this point that Ryan Coogler can only make profoundly wonderful motion pictures.
