instead i add systems and hyperscaling, including constant enemy resets where you use your power to re-progress faster. and then i wind up with these 17 hour games that i feel are too fast-paced out of necessity even if they probably arent

traversing the zubat tunnel, theres a sense of relief at making it through. theres multiple maps or zones to show you're Progressing. even if people complain about encounter rate, it's not considered grinding
but running in a forest grass patch to find pikachu is grinding. you're *still*.
