A partially-unlaced figure skate, white, with crystal decoration on the laces.

Also, they're very sparkly. ❤️

My 9 year old adds that she also hates rental skates, but now she, too, owns ice skates that fit. 🙂

Health care is literally thousands of dollars a year for a family of 4, and that's just the premiums alone. Childcare is something like $1500-$2000 a month, per kid, off the top of my head. Things are expensive.

I found ice skates that fit, and don't have to use rentals anymore. 😍

We’ve started having Clues by Sam races with each other, which is very fun, too!

Ok, Clues by Sam people:

Is Tricky more difficult than Hard? Or is Hard more difficult than Tricky?

So far, the 9 year old and I think it’s Easy, Medium, Tricky, Hard, and Impossible. [Is there an Impossible?]

Thoughts? 🙂

It affords me way more freedom than I have on standard time. I adore it.

I know some people hate Daylight Savings Time, but as someone who literally can't drive at night because of my vision, Daylight Savings Time is amazing. It makes my life substantially easier. I can go to a late doctor's appointment or take my kid to dance class, & not have to beg for a ride.

I am stuck on a never-ending flashing envelope of doom, as it attempts to load my e-mail, but utterly fails at doing so.

This damn e-mail program has existed since 1997 and it's still terrible, 29 years later.

One grandfather was a Radioman in the Navy in WWII, then a NYC employee. (See photo on my profile). My other grandfather was an electrician. 🙂

Purim teaches us that joy can be defiant, courage can be collective, and survival is only the beginning. We gather, we give, we protect one another — and we refuse to disappear. Chag Purim Sameach.

It appears in the album exactly as I scanned it, 300 dpi png. 🙂

How can you tell that it's a mirror image? I'm very curious.

Ooh, that’s a good idea. I’ll go check some of it. I have some information about where and with what ships he served, but it’s spotty. He was all over—the Mediterranean, the Atlantic, and the Pacific at the end.

I don’t have a yearbook, just a whole bunch of photos. Including pictures from Tinian, among other places,
