There have been a few video game servers and for movies, Ultra Violet that got shut down, and folks are pretty unhappy about losing their digital media. Worried that may come to audio and digital books if it hasn't already.

You also don't have to worry about the company that owns the servers going out of business and all the media you purchased housed on those servers disappearing in a puff of smoke.

I have been using Libre Office and Google Docs for writing before using Affinity Publisher. I am all for Word alternatives. Their subs are super expensive these days and they love collecting data on folks.

Turned in my short story submission to the Views from the Overlook anthology. Guessing a bunch of folks will be making submissions. This was a fun project to research and totally visited a spooky old hotel a few times to hear about their ghost stories.

We went through the 2021 Texas winter storm. Things that help during long winter outages are camping stoves (outside only), solar rechargeable power stations or power banks, electric hand warmers, below zero sleeping bags, rechargeable/battery camping lights. Sorry you all are going through this!
