Mom: broke two nails off; dogs stepping on her bad toenail; hair-trigger annoyance and anger @ others cropping up the last few days

Me: physically stimulated; energy to go swimming/biking; refereeing the kids while they play; I've been too physically hot at my mom's; learning how to stretch muscles

So funny how this Mars transit is in both me and my mom's 1H (her AC is 4° Libra, I'm 9°) but we're having two very different experiences. This is likely in part due to the fact that I'm nocturnal and she's diurnal. She's also got a 9H Gemini Mars and I have a 3H Sagittarius Mars.

I can never tell what level of freaked out I need to be for anything anymore.

We also just randomly started looking in her jewelry box at all her rings and she told me stories about them. Apparently she just finds rings, lol.

Venus is closing in on Jupiter and I'm dealing in yet MORE mediumship stuff. My mom and I are browsing mediums to maybe get readings this week. We may go to Lilydale this weekend.

Anyway. I’ve been trying to remind my OCD that what happens happens; I can’t control everything and if I’m scared of plane crashes or car crashes because I can’t control everything, then my world is going to get REALLY small and it’s REALLY gonna suck.

Hmm’ing at Moon/Uranus Gemini conjunction in MR 8H/SR 4H (copresent w/SR AC Lord Jupiter)/Natal 9H. Was all “I have to travel 2500 miles 3 days after this MR starts 🫠” but now wondering if it’s my unexpectedly long and surprising trip coming to a close. And maybe the start of a lead in Albuquerque?

I allowed myself to get a little hopeful about this year's Venus/Jupiter in Cancer conjunction on my MC/Lot of Eors/Lot of Victory square to Moon in 7H.

Almost the entire rest of the state calls where Buffalo is "Western New York" lol

to Los Angeles in my 30's and multiple times a week at work, the people who traveled a lot or take on national clients asked me, "Are you from the Midwest?" I would laugh and say, "Nope, honorary Canada and Midwest. Why?" They said every single time that it was my accent and my personality.

Buffalo does share a lot of colloquialiams, food culture, and accents with the Midwest. If the Midwest in those regards is Blue and the Northeast is Red, Buffalo would be a very red-plum. Def not "basically" Midwestern; just influenced by Midwestern culture enough to be detected. I moved—

Chart of the first leg of my trip back home on 8/19.

Rebooked for 8/19 home so we can redo my mom's bday party & visit w/grandmother. Scared, but it is what it is. Went with the original flight I wanted before I started looking at charts.

Starting to see why everyone's been commiserating about how hard it is to elect *ideal* circumstances this year.

It's alright. No matter what I do next week, the flights I can reasonably afford are almost all scheduled during Mars hour, ruled by Mars, and/or have an angular Mars. I'd rather catch the 9H Moon/Jupiter/Venus energy for the start of the first leg of my trip back home.

Sigh. I don't love that it's Mars Hour on Mars day, tbh, but I was thinking along the same lines you were.
