Loving this presentation for personal reasons. As someone who experienced an early menopause, but having so far received zero healthcare relating to it, and having been repeatedly told I'm 'too young' for HRT, I agree that it's a healthcare area with massive need.

Today I'm at SRIP conference, with our 'preview' poster on the top 20 priorities for LGBTQIA+ Perinatal Care. Huge thanks to all those involved, especially James Lind Aliiance for funding the work.

Spoiler: It's not just a matter of forgetfulness, but of how the scientific field chooses what is interesting measurable and researchable.
If the goal is to understand the soul, we must also know the consciousness at birth, through approaches that ignore the cultural/behavioral complexity at birth.

The article analyzes fundamental books in the field and shows how birth - an evolutionary peak moment of risk, pain and power - remains transparent.
So why does science that claims to explain the human soul and behavior simply ignore the most powerful and transformative moment in a woman's life?

A new article of mine is now published in the journal "Philosophical Psychology", in which I explore the following question: Why is the field of evolutionary psychology so much about relationships, sexuality, and parenting – but almost not at all at birth?

One day in April, I have a meeting in London, followed by an online meeting, followed by catching a train to Yorkshire.
