If someone commits a crime in the US, we have a system that deals with that. We do not need deportation to have any role in that.
If we believe that 4 years in prison is an appropriate punishment for some crime, why would it matter what country the person was born in?

As a resident of Ventura, CA, I can say that the PR departments of our police and sheriff are very clear that the staff and resources assisting ICE are in fact an illusion.

ICE wants to have it both ways. They openly violate the law, wear no uniform or badge, and brazenly ignore court orders. Then they demand protection from the public because they are "law enforcement". They are nothing more than cowards.
I'm embarrassed to have ever voted for you. If ICE is law enforcement, why are their identities hidden? Why aren't they in uniform? Where are their badges? Why are they illegally kidnapping people in violation of lawful orders?
I don't care if these monstrous ICE raids are a "federal operation". This is authoritarian violence, plain and simple.
