22.09.2025 10:06 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0You're exactly right. They already have over half their plan implemented and it will be fully complete by midterms. It's pretty grim
21.09.2025 22:40 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Hey, I just found out that #antifa goes all the way back to #WW2!
20.09.2025 02:09 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 0Ultimately, i don't see any chance that we'll escape this in the next 10 years given that there is little pushback right now.
The only thing that can change our course is some kind of major event. Like an economic collapse at the least.
What are your thoughts?
After that, fascism will be fully locked in and there is no chance of escaping it in the next 10 years unless there is a catastrophic event in the US. Think of what it took for Germany to fall. That's what it will take for the fascists give up power. Absolute devastation. 12/
18.09.2025 12:32 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0After 2026 it becomes much harder due to the amount of control they will have due to gerrymandering, media control, etc. But maybe if there is some kind of major event before the 2028 election that causes mass public outcry and strong international pressure, then maybe we have a 10% chance. 11/
18.09.2025 12:32 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Now let's talk about the timeline and chances and escaping fascism in the next 10 years.
If there is a strong response from 3 factors before the 2026 election then I think we have maybe a 25 to 50% shot if I'm being optimistic. That seems highly unlikely to happen to me. It's not so far. 10/
Since the Judiciary is not a factor, that means International pressure will be a necessity. But state pressure doesn't have a good chance of being effective and the Republican followers are asleep which means public pressure can't reach a high enough level. 9/
18.09.2025 12:32 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0But none of those 4 factors can do it on its own. If we're going to escape fascism, we need a strong and sustained response.
What is a strong response?
I think anything less than 3 of the 4 factors is not strong enough to force them out. 8/
International pressure could come in many forms from economic consequences to actual war. 7/
18.09.2025 12:32 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The public is definitely a factor but it cant do it on its own. There are a lot of protests right now which is encouraging. 6/
18.09.2025 12:32 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Some states are pushing back but unfortunately, the Republicans control most of the state governments. So even if all the Democrat controlled states push back as hard as possible, it most likely won't be enough. 5/
18.09.2025 12:32 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Judiciary pushback is virtually out of the question. It's clear that the supreme court will overrule any lower court ruling gets in the way of the fascists. They are on the same team. 4/
18.09.2025 12:32 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I think there are 4 main forces that can put pressure on them.
1. Judiciary
2. States Governors and legislatures
3. Mass public outcry
4. International pressure
3/
We can't predict the future but we do know that the fascists will not leave on their own. Therefore it will take some kind of external pressure to force them out. Voting alone will not work at this point, IMO. 2/
18.09.2025 12:32 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It's clear that #fascism has a tight grip on the #USA and I want to have a #discussion about what it will take to escape it and what the chances are of success in the next 10 years. 1/
18.09.2025 12:32 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 1I just want to point out that when Melissa Hortman and her husband were killed, neither trump nor vance condemned it. Trump said they were horrible people and refused to go to the funeral or lower flags. Vance didn't even acknowledge that it happened.
Both of those people are pieces of shit!
Rather than stand idly by while our constitutional freedoms are lost, I dissent.

Same here! We're being hyper aware during these and if any counter protestors or police come around for, we're getting out fast
15.06.2025 21:23 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Went to the #NoKings protest yesterday and the only violence I saw was from a Trump supporter.
When your rhetoric is violent, the supporters of your rhetoric will also be violent.
I agree with that. Maybe someday, long after we're gone though ๐คทโโ๏ธ

When does day 1 of Trump's Presidency start? Because I was under the impression that he was going to end the war in Ukraine and lower grocery prices on day 1.
