Kerferd Rd is a council responsibility. Under the Shrine to Sea project, the State government would have substantially funded the upgrading of this road. With the council scuttling the major safety aspects of this project, it looks like that funding is now off the table. (End of thread.)

In particular, the concerns raised at the council meeting (including by the councillors themselves) are addressed. It's a shame that the councillors-- who had access to full briefings--- didn't address the misinformation. We're releasing the full documents from the FOI so the community can judge [β¦]

The documents we found under FOI show that the protected bike lane delivered on the priorities set by the community. Councillors scuttled the state government funded project in 2023 without substantive justification. The community has missed out on the investment [β¦]
