Along with pretty lights, food, and live music, there's some pretty spectacular city views up here.
Even on Wednesday night, the queues are long for these car park food vendors.
The car park has been transformed into dancefloors and dining spaces during the festival.
The gateway to the Powerhouse Lane precinct.
Aside from Parramatta Square, the car park near the future Powerhouse Museum and surrounding streets. These have been closed if to cars and filled with food vendors and live music.

The Phive building is lit up in pretty shades of pink and purple. There's a stage set up in the car park, along with food trucks.
The concert stage.
The Leigh Memorial Church carpark behind Phive is the site of a free public rock concert as part of the Parramatta Lanes festival.

Definitely. And best of all, all the queues were reasonable.
(Last year I made the mistake of coming on the Saturday and ended up spending half the night waiting in a queue!)

The secret is to visit on Wednesday or Thursday night when it's s but quieter, or else you'll be waiting an hour in a food truck queue.

Something intensely frustrating which I've seen across academia, NGOs, media orgs and corporations (I mean, just, every professional space in the world) is "WHAT IF WE JUST DIDN'T" is **never** considered an option, and it's the same for this report.

Today, Carbon Measures officially launches as a global coalition of major businesses from diverse industries and geographies united by a shared mission: establish a more accurate carbon accounting framework and drive market-based solutions to reduce emissions at the lowest cost.
The world needs accurate, product-level carbon measurement to drive real emissions reductions at scale. We're advancing a ledger-based carbon accounting system that ensures every tonne is counted once, accurately, and attributed correctly β enabling governments to set effective standards and markets to reward businesses for investing in low-carbon production.
This coalition brings together industry leaders across sectors who believe that accurate and transparent measurement will unlock the market forces needed for climate progress. Through sound science and the principles of financial accounting, companies can better track their emissions through the global economy, reduce their emissions and allow governments to make more informed policy decisions.
We're proud to welcome Amy Brachio, who is among the worldβs foremost leaders in global corporate sustainability and carbon accounting, as our inaugural CEO. Under Amyβs leadership, we'll work with our members, experts, governments, and standard-setters to advance a global carbon accounting system that makes product-level intensity standards possible β taking Actions that Count through ensuring accurate emissions data and informed policy.
Confident that ADNOC and ExxonMobil's new emissions accounting standard is totally fine and not nefarious at all

Let me guess.
Under the new ExxonMobil accounting standard, all fossil fuels emissions are attributed to the motorist who uses the car, rather than the transnational oil company that supplies the fuel.
Scope three, amiright?
And by this metric, turns out Exxon is now a low emissions business.

@psychopoesie @ajsadauskas My suspicion was it was probably a kid with a skateboard.
The structure is basically plywood with a thin player of plastic or paint on top, so it wouldn't have taken much...

The scale model under the glass floor. Unfortunately, these photos also caught the reflection from the skylight above.
The scale model from the other side.
The Customs House building itself is a magnificent sandstone structure. To its left is Australia's first skyscraper, the 1960s AMP building, and behind it the recently renovated newer AMP building.
If you're ever up around Sydney's Circular Quay, here's a free public exhibition that's worth checking out.

We had a decentralised worldwide network of computers.
And thanks to techbro greed, we (collectively) allowed a single point of failure to be retrofitted to it.
