I talk about politics, academia, LGBTQ rights and other social justice issues. Occasionally sports. I do not have patience for centrists and nihilists. We deserve good things. We will demand them, and we will see them.

Dems have to answer the most insane questions about an impossibly small percentage of the population because they don't actually have any policy positions. Republicans can always be on attack because they never have to combat any legitimate Dem policies.

Any talk of trans health matters should immediately pivot to "Well, I think all Americans are in need of better health care and I will fight for Americans to be able to access healthcare for free and discuss health decisions with their doctor, free of government interference." But capitalism.

"The public agrees with the only opinion that's been endlessly propagandized to the tune of billions of $$ and to which Dems have never once offered any opposition"

The Dems shouldn't entertain transphobia. They should push bold policies like housing and healthcare for all to drive the narrative.

1. The misogyny that influences every part of American life is exceptionally grotesque and pervasive.

2. I shudder to think that I once stood near, shook hands with, and accepted a reward from Jason Chaffetz for youth community leadership. He is the furthest thing from leadership.

β€œIf a government’s actions in a democracy require masks β€” if the people being governed in that democracy cannot know who is acting β€” that is a problem with what the government is doing, not with the governed.”

There's a hunger for change and the only way to get a party led by Schumer and Jeffries to accept that is to keep promoting and voting for better candidates than Gavin Fucking Newsom, Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, et. al.

I'm not eager to run around with a Cheney and lose to these morons again.

To tell the Democrats over and over that it doesn't matter what they do, they have your vote, is to permit them to keep running the same failed, run to the center strategy. The same electorate you denigrate voted in deep red states for progressive causes like PFL, bodily autonomy, and more.

So many strawmans. Not one person has promoted Jill Stein. And if you listened to all of Hasan's commentary, which I'm questioning, you'd have heard him point out that now, before the midterms, is the exact time to tell Democrats that they can and must give us better than Newsom to win anything.

Rich moron defends nationalism and "common culture" by pointing out that his preferred nation and culture was built from multiple cultures and nations.

He's right though. The United States' origin is as a multi-cultural nation, and for 250 years, that multi-cultural origin has been it's strength.

It's hardly the point, but wow does "travel" seem like quite the unenforceable loophole.

This is concerning, that a rep feels they must post this. A lot in our coalition has felt the same way and worried about it, but didn’t think we’d be here publicly.

In 2008, during the last presidential election before the Citizens United decision, billionaires spent $16 million.

During the 2024 election billionaires spent $2.6 billion.

It's a truly absurd world where politicians have reached the conclusion we need ID to select a name on a ballot but still no ID required to purchase firearms. This country is so absolutely backwards.

CNN confirms what MSNBC reported live a few hours ago: DOJ is surveilling Dem lawmakers when they go to the DOJ to search unredacted Epstein files.

Why is it that every time this massive toddler vocalizes any insane toddler-like fantasy "news" organizations take it upon themselves to publish the toddler fantasy as if it is in any way legitimate?

Why must we all be assaulted by these moronic ideas constantly?

This is the most unserious AG in the most unserious administration the country has ever had. Bondi ought to be disbarred and disallowed to practice in any court room in the United States.

Hi, Pam. What is your role in the federal government? Since you are involved in legal matters, not the economy, can you explain why we we would talk with in Congress about non-legal matters like the economy?

Israel used weapons in Gaza that made thousands of Palestinians evaporate US-made thermal weapons burning at 3,500C caused 2,842 people to "evaporate" in Gaza, Al Jazeera investigation finds.

β€œFour of my children just evaporated,” Badran said, holding back tears. β€œI looked for them a million times. Not a piece was left. Where did they go?”

There are no words to adequately describe the evil here.

It makes me sad and incredibly angry to see the hate Amber Glenn has received. I,and so many more in the LGBT community, appreciate her transparency and representation more than she could ever know.

We don't want exceedingly reasonable demands. We want strong, prudent, opposition based on moral conviction. Democrats, especially Democratic leadership, offer none of that. Because so many of you are bought and paid for by the same people as this regime. There's concentration camps, Chuck.

I feel like we all kinda hahaed and moved past the whole NBC sensored the world booing our vice president such that the US now knows a different reality than the rest of the world. I think that's probably a bad thing that we should collectively be more concerned about.

The thing that drives me most crazy about all these AI ads is the illusion that if you use AI you’ll magically have extra time at work to do more exciting/relaxing/important things. When in reality, offloading ur tasks to AI jeopardizes the need for your employment at said job 😀🫩

I'm convinced AI is our generation's radium - a discovery with genuinely useful applications in specific, controlled circumstances that we stupidly put in everything from kid's toys to toothpaste until we realised the harm far too late where future generations will ask if we were out of our minds.

It was transforming the biggest NFL stage in the world into a sugar cane plantation that did it for me.

Like, the multiple layers of turning an American icon into a plantation and highlighting the history of exploitation of Black and Brown bodies by the NFL and American colonialism simultaneously?
