Banks don't care about being paid back they care about having the maximum number of people indebted to them while being able to stay afloat and give ridiculous bonuses to the people at the top because the more people you have indebted to you the more power you have over everything in the world

A lot of people could contribute positively and have a good life with some special accommodation but a corporate job, a corporate landlord, a corporate merchant, a corporate medical provider, a corporate lender, is not going to provide any special accommodation so those people are left to suffer

I think there will be a brief moment before the robots consider us an unnecessary risk where AI will be super useful

People who consider their actions are less likely to act than people who don't consider their actions

Society is not led by the best people for the job. society is led by the people who took action to put themselves in a position of power

Sadly the shittiest people often just get there first

Small vans have more cargo space than trucks. If you haul dirt and gravel that can be dumped into the bed of a truck than a truck makes sense. Vans make sense for most cargo. With the money saved by driving a small vehicle someone can rent a truck when they need. Truck as style choice is weird!

Corporations are never happy with a good product at a fair price with a steady customer base

They always want a little bit more and will push to the absolute edge of acceptability in terms of profit, labor costs/rights and quality

We want what's solidly fair we don't want to be pushed to the edge!

My problem with a lot of the people in charge right now is that they would rather align themselves with terrible people who have a lot of money over honorable people who have little money

The thing with AI under capitalism is the same as any other technology under capitalism. Any new technology could be amazing for humanity if employed for the betterment of humanity but what's more likely to happen is that it's going to be used by the powerful to exploit humanity

The problem is we treat corporations as people but corporations don't treat people like people

We're getting a full on demonstration of what not being woke is and so far it's not good!

Not only that but it's hitting a fly with a sledgehammer wielded by people who have never touched a hammer in their life!

He could lose 99% of his wealth and still be wildly rich. I don't think he cares much. Tesla was a big part of what got him where he is but now that he has the influence that he has I don't think he really cares that much about Tesla and X is the kind of thing a billionaire does as a hobby.

There are alpha males and then there are people who refer to themselves as alpha males. The two are not the same!

We are a country that stands up to dictators when they get in the way of the wrong people's profit. We will install a dictator if it serves us.

If you're wondering why Democrats aren't doing more it's because most politicians don't want to rock the boat they just want things to keep going the way they are as much as possible

The Democratic party will not be our hero

I don't support a lot of our military policy but I absolutely support anyone who out of conviction or necessity risked their lives to serve our country!

You could go out right now and rent a 25 ft dock height moving van and drive it off the lot as long as your credit card gets approved.

Now there's something to be proud of!

I definitely think this is an important thing to understand! I think a lot of our current political problems come from people operating on completely different sets of information but assuming everybody has the same information.

This really is like thieves being against other thieves because they're stealing all the good stuff!

This is the problem with letting wealthy people run our country. They've put themselves in a position where they're nearly guaranteed to be out of touch and emotionally unstable!

The thing people need to realize is that the US is performing better than ever for those in charge

Chaos and desperation are good for those who know how to profit from chaos and desperation

Profiting off people living in desperation is evil but the people in charge are not going to change it

Exclusivity has become a selling point for so many things in our culture

How are people not embarrassed to flaunt what other people could not attain

I don't want a life that's exclusive I want a life that I would hope everyone can have

Everyone I know that's worked at Costco has said it was a good place to work. Generally places that focus on inclusion are better places to work for everyone.

The Washington Post should definitely not be considered a credible news source anymore!
