It’s a way to map out what the brain sometimes doesn’t want to deal with all at once.

Oh same.....I have to stop to organize every now and then or I completely lose focus and can't find anything. I am considering a larger cork board than the one I have so I don't wind up taping reams of paper together and plastering it on the wall.
