Doc says he’ll likely need weekly transfusions to keep his red blood cell and platelets up; back for more blood on Saturday

Returned home and feeling better. More tests over the coming days

Update sent from hospital: Sommi getting his transfusion. They are keeping him under observation until early evening (blood results this morning showed lower red blood cells and lower platelets so hopefully the transfusion helps). I'll head back to get him soon

Little guy was not happy as gf wasn’t here to hold him in the car. He kept yelling until he settled on my lap; now at the vet and cross checking his blood with donor cats (cute temple on the soi behind)

oh, that is a whole other kettle of fish. Need an indoor only cat that has been vaccinated and is disease free and the same blood type. Then the blood donation process requires them to be put under a general anesthetic 🫠. Luckily there is a hospital that already has donor cats 😿

Quick lunch whilst waiting for Sommi’s blood results

Home after a checkup and ultrasound. Sommi has anemia that was likely brought on by his leukemia. Some injections and extra meds and back in two weeks time

yes, and they are very slippery when wet on the pavement. But Toronto has leaf pickup in fall, so we had to fill large paper bags from Home Depot and put out with the trash. They were taken to a massive composing center

Haven't ordered delivery from Amazon in ages and didn't realize they now separate the milk tea and ice

Wonderful. I had a house in the city with little room for compost, but I did have a lot of big old maple trees that had a lot of leaves. With your country home it is perfect that you have space for composting
