I lived in DC for about 7 years before coming back up to Boston in 2017. That swampy, mid-Atlantic weather seems to be exactly what we get now. It’s a real bummer because it means long, rainy springs and hot and humid summers. Where has the BOS climate of the ‘90s gone? PEI? Nova Scotia?

Why do we know SO much about the cardiovascular system, nervous system, and respiratory system and so little about the digestive system? Our complete and utter lack of knowledge on the ongoing of our guts reminds me a lot of just how much ocean is still completely unexplored.

Very, very good point. When we bought our home in Boston competing against those clauses beat us out a bunch of times. Often by $5k or so… I do wonder if that’s what the Cohen “$50m over bid” is trying to achieve. It’s a strange thing to hear owners promote, but it’s not necessarily bad for players.

Interesting! It feels like in the housing example that may be a tool that benefits buyers in competitive markets (keeping ultimate purchase costs down), whereas it may be detrimental to sellers (players) in a competitive market. It’s just interesting that’s it’s never even brought up as a club tool.

Honest question @jtomase.bsky.social @chadfinn.bsky.social @peteabeglobe.bsky.social, why aren’t there more escalation clauses in FA negotiations? In home buying, it’s sort of a cheat code & removes a bit of the back and forth. Set a number, everyone escalates to their top, seller selects from that?

It's strange... I was such a power user of Twitter. After deleting my account well over a year ago, I have no idea what to post about! I'm at least excited to have a place for breaking weather news, sports news, and silly little memes again.
