Came across the following a while back. Though this is a 1976 paper, it is nonetheless interesting to study the perceptions of new gen weapons as they start being implemented and how these perceptions change over the years.
Interesting to see. I guess I still had a latent perception that the Coast Guard is barely considered for these responsibilities. But it is nice to see the first Coastie also sharing the honour of being the first female WH military aid.
Which raises a question: was there ever a "football" aide documented as hailing from the Coast Guard?
Th. 5.10: "Cleon, who from the first had no thought of fighting, at once fled and was overtaken and slain (...) The men who had taken up and rescued Brasidas, brought him into the city with the breath still in him: he lived to hear of the victory of his troops, and not long after expired."
