I'm not sure if they think the current thing is good, or if they're afraid to try anything that isn't the most conservative approach

At this point I think people are interested in the game because of its history, and that history doesn't exist for eo no matter if it is better or worse.

I think they would live longer if the matchmaking interface was designed for lower populations (+r / fightcade style). Using only EO in matchmaking on the latest collection was also really bad for making it a compelling alternative to fightcade

So for some people a "Romance Book" (which they use to indicate that it is part of some slightly nebulous category) is totally different than a book about romance

I think sometimes there are a bunch of works that have various things in common (perhaps because the people making them read/watch/listen to each-other's stuff) and then people try to come up with some way to describe that commonality, but the description is not a perfect encapsulation of the scene

The two biggest hurdles for me are:

1) I want to enter my own bracket and that doesn't feel fair with mystery

2) It seems like a hassle to babysit people setting their controls and switching the game
