Playstation mishandling the original Demon's Souls release and From becoming a mega successful studio in the wake of that event made Bloodborne an olive branch between From and Playstation. Miyazaki said it's special to him. Playstation isn't going to allow anyone else to touch it.

Highlights for me from the Playstation event, this game confirming Wolverine, Storm, Magik and Danger. Kinda bummed Danger is a zoner because I've never had the patience to play one. Also the new Castlevania from Motion Twin.

Sekiro gives you something like 12 deflect frames per initial input versus 1 (ONE!) frame to land a perfect block. Anyway, I spent all day practicing this and preparing this history lesson so I could show you this dumb video I made. Thank you for reading.

it's essentially a frame perfect block. There's no recoil and your character is free to move unimpeded through attacks. You will still lose stamina for the block. Releasing block is more important than the pressing in my experience. From what I've found it differs from Sekiro Deflecting in that-

Maybe you know this, but combos in fighting games all started because of a bug/glitch in Street Fighter II. I think Sekiro and From Software's deflect mechanic has a similar origin. These are what the community refers to as "Perfect Blocks". They method to perform them changes from game to game but-

Every console will get the extra content (think it was like reported $10?) but it got pushed back to 2026 after bad performance in handheld mode.

Wow they should make more of these games. Seems like people like them and they get nominated for awards. I would simply make more of them with as much of the same development team as possible but who knows? We'll see.
