Nothing that can't be solved by a quick chat with an enterprising local who owns a Mitsubishi Delica 😉
I've heard lots of stories of rockfalls though, even on the road to Mestia. So stay safe!

Ushguli:
We did a day trip in the winter and the drive was easy. Not sure what the road is like in the summer.
Serene landscape. Very traditional village. Incredible view from the tower on the hill, if you can bear the climb. Otherwise, not too much to do. Hiking and horseback riding.
Tips for Mestia:
* Lushnu Kor for food
* KRK bar to hang out
* Margiani house – a must-see time capsule of a traditional Svaneti home. Ping if you need help getting hold of the guide.
* Ethnographic museum – also worth going. Modern building, modestly sized. Surprising stuff on display.
I really miss Mestia. We were supposed to go for a week for a spot of skiing/wife's work back in January; ended up staying for over a month 🙈

Have you been to Svaneti yet?
I was surprised to learn that this was made by Tsereteli. He’s well-known in the post-soviet space for making utter hot garbage. This megalithic thing is epic though. May as well have been built by a civilization of ancient space-faring kvartvelebi.

The plot depicts a line that starts around zero satisfaction for low internet speed, swiftly turns exponential after 250Mbps, and gradually peters out at 11 towards 1Gbps.
