I'm Kat Abughazaleh and I'm running for Congress.
And here we go -- Fox News is now saying we should get rid of "due process" because it's too cumbersome.
Brian Kilmeade: "But I also think it's not practical to think that we can do due process on 8 million people."

From a source: “Just had a co-presenter for a buildings research conference bow out. She’s a dual citizen and the FBI came knocking to ask her about her involvement in coauthoring chunks of the Paris Agreement.
Climate science is being literally (and I mean literally) criminalized.”
I know this first hand. When I was a child, my entire community was branded as spies and sabateurs, justifying our internment inside barbed wire camps for years without due process, trial or charge.
Look, it’s really not that hard to understand.
If Republicans *wanted* to shut the government down, they would’ve shut it down. They didn’t want to, because they knew they’d (rightfully) be blamed.
There’s no 5-dimensional chess happening here, the Treasonous Ten caved because they’re cowards.
I am not okay hearing Killing In the Name on my local classic rock station. It’s still relevant dammit! It will always be relevant!
Though I guess it qualifies as “classic” in the technical sense
"But I'm a citizen," you say. "This doesn't apply to me." It's a pretty short step from deporting lawful residents without due process to "show me your papers, you don't LOOK like a real American to ME" on the street.
Probably not relevant to anything, but most of Germany's concentration camps were not in Germany
James Carville built his entire reputation on a candidate winning a plurality in a three-way race in which the three-term incumbent party presided over a recession and that was thirty-three years ago. we do not need to keep pretending like he has anything worthwhile to say in this century
i'm sensing that things are vastly worse than i care to admit
Who really knows????

Fuck you to every single Dem Senator who voted for this fucking fascist shit.
Fuck.
You.
This may be the biggest free speech crisis in living memory. The president now bragging about detaining a lawful permanent resident and smearing him as 'pro Hamas', no outlining any specific crimes he is accused of or charged with. This is what a fascist takeover looks like.
This song is pretty much the reason I exist currently.

ME: *slides note to bank teller*
TELLER: *slides note back*
ME: What’s wrong?
TELLER: You left out a comma.
ME: Where?
TELLER: There, right after “robbery.”
ME: Damnit, I’ll be right back.
No not at all that it’s FL LOL

Absolutely!!! I listened to it again recently and just in awe.
This album altered my brain chemistry
If I were a Democrat, and I saw Trump do a purge of high-level generals who were women and people of color and wouldn't be "yes men," I wouldn't vote to advance JD Vance's college friend for Secretary of the Army.
And yet....16 Democrats just did so

I love sad songs. They make me happy? Anyway, this song’s crescendo at the very end gives me goosebumps.
Here’s a piece of personal happiness for you (it’s just a picture but ya know where to find music)
The Funeral - Band of Horses
Read up on the SAVE act. I am starting to believe that they named it that because it’s very close to the Safe Act and they think we wouldn’t know the difference.
What really gives it away is the fact that, under the SAVE Act, a “Real ID” is not enough to prove citizenship. Even though, to get a Real ID, you have to prove that you are a citizen.
I’m not doomscrolling I’m just desperately sucking the marrow from the bones of hope
