3/4/2004 #MLB announced "Jackie Robinson Day" would be an annual event held at all ballparks on April 15, the anniversary of Robinson's 1947 debut. In 1962 he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

He disposed of 12 cases, most having to do with Prohibition violations, & dispensed punishments ranging from a one cent fine to one year in jail. When he was done, he stepped down from the bench without a word
