I got over it. So did my parents.

Eventually time passes and it just becomes a weird thing we never talk about.

They are great parents and we have a good relationship, so life just goes on

So I'm one of the unfortunate few who told my parents, (when I was about 19).

Reflecting on it this many years later, I think it's often just born out of a desire to be loved and accepted...
And a lack of support makes us look for that in the wrong place.
