I actually think the real issue is much simpler than this.

If it's my event ( or my discord server)
I get to decide who's invited.

And the RW types just ... Suck.
They often ruin the vibe, Folks don't feel safe.

So I don't want them at my venue.
And I don't have to invite them.

As in your example.

It results in very few bans.
Most people read the rules and if they don't like what they see, they don't come to the event.

Which is good, and how it should work

Only one person who actually came to the physical space has ever been banned under this rule in the last 6 years

Our rule for events since 2020 has been

I was initially concerned about blowback when we implemented. But in the 6 years since, the response has been overwhelmingly positive
