Been playing Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater this week, and I love it so much. It feels like the same game I played when I was younger but so lovingly updated. Just stopped playing after beating The Fear and I can't wait for my next session.
MGS will always be one of my favourite series.
Listening to the K-Pop Demon Hunters OST while out and about this morning, and its genuinely an awesome soundtrack that stands on its own two feet independent of the movie. Hits right in so many ways.
Been ill in bed today and couldn't sleep, so I watched K-Pop Demon Hunters. Loved it, its a blend of some of my favourite things - demons, singing idols, nicely animated combat scenes. Will definitely watch again and I'm looking forward to the sequel!
I'm really close to the end now, but in a position where I don't feel strong enough for the final boss, but there's also no fun way I can find to level up. The bosses are a lot of fun, but grinding regular battles feels like a chore when it's purely for levelling.
Been playing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and its definitely been a mixed experience for me. Love the combat and the ability system, and the plot is gripping when it's moving.
But as soon as I'm not actively pushing forwards with the plot, I don't really feel invested in the world beyond the party.

Had a really nice father's day yesterday. Had a lie in, spent time with the kids, spent some time with my parents and went out for a meal. Got some Final Fantasy MTG cards as a gift!
I need to get through FFVIII and the original FFIX, so I need some time first too haha
I hope it gets announced soon! Square Enix keep doing loads of FFIX related stuff lately but nothing about the game itself 😅
@foxgodleon.bsky.social just convinced me to give FFIX a try when the remake comes out. I’m a little wary given I’m bad at judging which FF game suits me, so we’ll see 🙂

What's a shame about it is that the plot that's there is great and feels like an important epilogue to the main story. But it takes soooo long to grind through all the repetitive stages with barely anything happening to see the plot. Last thing P3 needed was more of Tartarus 😅
Finished Persona 3 Reload's Episode Aigis last night. I never beat The Answer on PS2 as I didn't like how hyper focused it was on combat.
It's still the same in Reload, but at least the combat is a bit better in the remake. But The Answer is still a needlessly long slog 👎

When I have a huge backlog that already needs working on, and there are games like Clair Obscure selling closer to £40, its hard to justify spending that much on one game. I don't have a ton of spending money as it is.
Yeahh, we've had games here recently selling at £65-£70 which is over $85. I love my games but at those prices I can't just pay for those without some serious hype. Still unsure if I'm getting Doom: The Dark Ages on release (probably not 😑)

Yeah, I love BlueSky as well but I know a lot of less tech savvy people don't have accounts. Discord is something I might consider too as it seems ideal for this, but I wasn't sure if it would be intimidating for some people.

Sure! What social media platforms do you use? Still working out which one I'll use to organise it - looking mostly at Facebook or Instagram, I think. As far as I'm aware both have decent options for this kind of thing.
