guys, i advise you not to upload audio/video of yourself online anymore unless there’s some sort of background music or sound. Google AI videos are spooky, and it’s obvious where they got their data (us). we can’t stop them from scraping our socials, but we CAN control how much they have to scrape!

You can assume but you could still be very wrong. At that point it's best to take what you've been told by the VA and anything else isn't for us to know.

Sometimes even acknowledging an NDA exists is enough for some employers to cancel contracts (learned from a very different industry to VA).

Truth is, we won't necessarily ever know the "whole" truth and we don't need or have a right too. Unfortunately that's just how life is.

There's also NDAs etc so many things that can't be answered and we have no need let alone right to know.

Of course Sag would like hoyo to join - it's a hugely popular game with high hire rates and a history of not being so great with VAs etc. Again. Not immoral.

We always knew it was 2 separate strikes. I'm sorry if you forgot, but at no point did Sag say Genshin was struck but we knew there was still collective action.

Congrats, some VAs would like it to be union. Thats not a bad or immoral thing. Many are asking for the bare minimum around AI.

Ensuring VA security over things like AI, fair pay etc IS a good reason to support the collective strike.

Nothing was "revealed". Just because YT tells you something doesn't make it true.

Some VAs may have wanted to get Genshin unionised. All of them wanted AI protections.

The VAs and Sag did NOT pretend the strikes were the same.

Starting at the same time makes the most sense - doesn't mean it's the same strike when Genshin couldn't be struck by sag.

Hoyo have stayed silent, many VAs are still asking for very basic AI protections/guarantees put into their contracts. The community continues to be the same hell hole as usual.

And have spent months harassing striking/collective action VAs, creating misinformed YT videos stoking the hatred towards a particular couple of VAs, many VAs recieved death threats, insane threats to family (alive and passed on) etc etc.

(This has happened several times now over ZZZ, HSR and starting in Genshin).

Understandably, VAs striking via Collective Action were pissed off seeing someone cross the picket line and some made comment - but didn't harass anyone.

The community however decided it was time to be the asshole

It was never once stated that Sag-Aftra had struck Genshin or any Hoyo game.

Fast forward a few months and it is "announced" in patch notes that Kinich VA had been replaced and the new VA posted a big happy "passing of the torch" post - when the original VA didn't even know their role had gone.

Basically, Sag-Aftra struck various companies including the studio Genshin used to record at (Formosa) to try and get better AI protections etc.

At the same time some VAs decided to start Collective Action (a non-unionised strike essentially) due to a lack of AI protection in Hoyo games

Oh stfu.

They didn't pretend it was part of the Sag-Aftra strike. That was the community being dumb dumb again.

The VAs didn't post misinformation, the mass "outrage" and drama farming of the community did that.
