Welcome! You are invited to join a webinar: Ask Me Anything: ORCID Community Hubs. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email about joining the webinar. Ask Me Anything: Where curiosity meets expertise Ask Me Anything is your chance to connect with subject matter experts on a variety of topics relevant to the scholarly community in an open, informal setting. Each session brings together thought leaders in a specific area to share insights, spark conversation, and answer your questions. Whether you’re curious about best practices, emerging trends, or the real-world experiences of those working in the field, AMA sessions are designed to offer practical takeaways and honest dialogue. These sessions are a space to learn, engage, and ask anything. Come join the conversation! About This Session How can regional consortia lower the barrier to ORCID adoption for institutions and researchers? In this session, we explore the power of Community Hubs—specialized platforms designed to simplify integration and amplify research visibility. We are bringing together the leads behind three major regional initiatives: the TENET Intembeko ORCID Hub (South Africa), the NZ ORCID Hub (New Zealand), and the Uganda ORCID Hub (Uganda). What to Expect: This collaborative session moves beyond theory to show how these hubs function in the real world. Our speakers will discuss: - The Origin Story: Learn the backstory on how the concept of the community hub was born. - The "Why" and "How": Each consortium will share the specific drivers behind their hub's creation and the steps they took to get it off the ground. - A Technical Deep Dive: We will walk through the technical architecture and user interface via a guided walkthrough to show exactly how these platforms work. - Community Impact: Hear concrete examples of how local institutions are currently using these hubs to manage affiliations and boost global recognition.

Move beyond theory! 🛠️

Our 24 Feb AMA features a technical walkthrough of ORCID Community Hubs. See the UI and architecture used by @TENETNews, @ORCID_NZ, and Uganda to boost research visibility.
See how it works in the real world.

The importance of persistent identifiers in the Age of AI - Australian Access Federation

The Age of Artificial Intelligence is rapidly accelerating, and now more than ever, it is crucial to know and trust the origin of information. Persistent Identifiers (PIDs) play a critical role in modern research by ensuring the provenance, discoverability, and traceability of scientific outputs.

indeed @aaf.edu.au! #PIDs work similarly to a list of cited references, allowing your readers to know the source of ideas synthesized in your work.
