Going to a busy weekend trying out my new Saturn 4 Ultra. Should be quite an upgrade from my original Saturn 1!

This weeks table is set: with a few minor changes will be used for #MotherRussia (modern insurgency) playtesting, #CoC Brits vs DAK , and Assassins vs Templars (if I get time).

Well turn 5 was short and bitter! The Soviet off table mortar dropped smoke obscuring the Chechens view, but what they hadn’t accounted for was an ambush from a hidden marker in a building on their left, and an RPG on their right flank! 4 dead, more pressure and a failed morale test!Game over!

Another table change and another play test of “Mother Russia’s” Pressure & Force Morale System.

This Grozny table is much more open than the last one and even at the start of turn 5 there are still very few troops visible due to both using hidden markers.

Turn 5 onwards tomorrow morning…..

I’ve dusted off my #MotherRussia rules and am getting on with more play testing and tweaking ahead of searching for a publisher 🙂

I’ve finished up converting some Franks I had in my bits box (by adding greenstuff hooded cloaks and smaller round shields) painting them up as Welsh Hill Tribe skirmishers. They’ll be fielded to support Sir Roger Vaughan of Tretower and his retinue for both #Ruckus and #Billhooks.

I needed 3 more pavise to finish off some of Beaufort’s crossbows for #Billhooks Blue-stuff moulds are ideal for this kind of job because if there’s the occasional crease or bump in the pressed green it doesn’t mater as it makes the shield look battle worn.

Table reset for today’s game of #Ruckus A simple argument over a small bridge over the stream. Vaughan says it’s his, Madoc disagrees. It’s the only bridge for miles and without it the crops can’t reach the village and Vaughan can’t collect his taxes! Part 1 of a 3 part solo Wye Valley campaign.

Back after a long break away (from Blue and X (not from painting and playing). Currently on a #28mm #medieval trip with lots of #Billhooks and #Ruckus going on. Today’s job: to start on finishing up the church for my medieval village.

Started painting my mounted Turcopoles for #AssassinsandTemplars Highlights, detailing and tack to do. I guess I might do a fancy blanket or 2 as well.

Got the camo palette sorted, tomorrow I’ll get the first infantry squad, the SPG 9 anti tank team, and the AGS 17 and crew finished up #28mm #BoltActionModern #7DTTRR

Working on trying to get a close approximation to the Rosgvardia Ataka Moss palette (their copy of ATACS FG) using just 3 colour steps. Nearly there.
