scrap of paper with the words "The foot prints you see are not the surface", in a trash can
Trash can poetry, as found in the Hall of Footprints at @alfpaleo.bsky.social
I have no idea who wrote it (and tossed it), but it sure is thought provoking!

brown triangular tyrannosaur tooth, held in hand. The tooth is slightly curved, with a pointed tip.
It's #FossilFriday! I found this tyrannosaur tooth last summer in the "Mesaverde" Formation of Wyoming, during our excavation of a vertebrate microfossil bonebed. I found a second one the same day -- what a thrill! Collected under permit from #BLMPaleo, accessioned at @alfpaleo.bsky.social

My volunteering task for today which was making a scavenger hunt booklets for the kids (and adults) to engage in within the museum.
Eusthenopteron made by paleoartist, Cullen Townsend.
Gnatlie artwork made by paleoartist Stephanie Aramowicz from the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles
Eons Scale bar that my Historical Geology professor kindly gave to me. π₯Ή
Fossil Fest at the @alfpaleo.bsky.social was very successful today. I got to make booklets for both kids and adults alike, as well as outreaching to a lot of paleontologists, some that may be vital for my career. I also got to be with old friends and overall, it was an amazing day. :D

white fossil bone with row of teeth, and scale bar showing centimeters. The element is ~3 cm long
white bone with single row of tiny teeth, with scale bar -- bone is ~3 cm long
white fossil bone, showing sutures and smooth surfaces; approximately 3 cm long
ID query -- anyone have ideas? This fossil is from one of our "Mesaverde" Formation sites (~78 Ma). Looks to be palatal element, with one row of dentition. Hard to tell tooth implantation style. Fish? Lizard? We have marine and terrestrial taxa at the site. (BLM paleo permit, @alfpaleo.bsky.social)
