Indoor air pollution breaches WHO-recommended thresholds - NCAS Harmful levels of indoor air pollution have been found in homes in Bradford, by one of the largest and most detailed investigations to take place in the UK.

Major drop in ship sulfur emissions following global regulation - NCAS Researchers confirm that sulfur emissions from ships have significantly reduced due to global regulations.

Global regulations are having air quality benefits in ports and open oceans. @ncas-uk.bsky.social scientists used aircraft and ground measurements, with STEAM3 model predictions, to assess sulfur emissions from ships.

Inspired by @edhawkins.org' warming stripes, Climate Canopy translated a 170-year record of global temperature data into a visual display of light and recycled materials. The stripes turned from mainly blue to red, illustrating the rise in average temperatures in virtually every region worldwide.

This was an artistic collaboration with the artist Alison Smith and her technical fabrication team, Matt Collins and Paul Millhouse-Smith.

In October 2021, we brought Climate Canopy - an immersive representation of climate change - to COP26 in Glasgow.

By bringing art and science together, Climate Canopy acknowledged that climate change is not only a scientific problem but a human problem 💙
