My journeys are rarely direct. I make plans, and almost always know exactly where I want to end up, but getting there…I find myself in places I hadn’t imagined. This happens with playwriting all the time, but also in my rebar art. Designs change, details *always* change.

I'm finding it interesting that *The Algorithm* has decided I should be receiving numerous posts and ads for off-the-grid ways to cook, heat, survive in the wild, etc.
Like the whole shebang is gonna suddenly crumble.
Pfft. Dude. As if.

I have moments when I think Why bother? But if I don’t bother, who benefits? It’s just a refocusing of energy.

So hey! My play "End of the Road," a 10-minute piece about kitten homelessness, has just progressed to the semi-finals of a rather well-known contest.

My St Patrick’s Day ritual used to be traveling from Irish bar to Irish bar along 3rd avenue and getting plates of steam table corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes. Plus pints of Guinness. Better meals may not exist.
