Another great read, this time by David Soskin of Cheapflights. Despite all our new technology 15 years on, the pillars of a successful online business remain much the same!

Hi Christina,
Noob here. How do you define synthesis? Looks like the team might be identifying blockers, etc. Do I have that right?
Best wishes from UK
Back a TIDEConnects after a lovely paternity leave. Time to be successful at Customer Success!
03.02.2025 10:51 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Question to the technical product managers out there: if you had to perfect one element of a PRD, what would it be?
28.01.2025 00:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Every day that I take discovery calls, I'm uncovering what value outcomes each customer wants to achieve.
28.01.2025 00:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Even in Customer Success there are plenty of opportunities for good PM skills, like customer advocacy, writing stories, customer interview, etc
28.01.2025 00:48 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Great episode Jason, thanks. As an aspiring PM myself, the approaches to learning are helpful. I try to apply new knowledge in practice as I go, like paving the road ahead.
28.01.2025 00:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Miro remains my go-to app for planning, note-taking, record keeping, and designing/wireframing. It's so smooth and feature-rich!

23.01.2025 19:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Looking for advice: what's the best way to request minor updates (changing button locations, fixing typos) from developers without adding loads of tickets to the backlog?

27.11.2024 22:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Is there a Patreon, or other fan-funding platform, for written recipes, meaning no SEO preamble? Does Substack support chefs??
27.11.2024 20:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks for the recommendation!
Just picked up INSPIRED by Marty Cagan.
Living between the customer's world and the engineer's world certainly is interesting. Sometimes convincing the engineers of the customer's requirement is an exercise is persuasion.
27.11.2024 16:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0As I continue to learn what a PM does, I've made sure to adopt PM principles more and more in my CS work, even just to practice.
Each feature request is a user story, with success metrics, wireframes. The aim is that my colleagues all understand the need and the goal.
At TIDEConnects I wear many hats as part of my CS role: sales, consultant, technical writer, the list goes.
What I like most is to work with customers to solve their business problems. Most often this manifests as relaying their needs to the engineers.
Any book clubs for Product Management and related fields out there?

Hi PaweΕ, thank you for the great points.
I'd be interested to know how one keeps track of market movements, new technologies, and general trends. What's your go-to resource for keeping up to speed?
Thanks again!
Brilliant read, Amy! Harmonising teams with an agreed-upon set of principles can only be good. Great point about being careful to not over-diagnose problems if your customers are already happy.
